Services

Freelance work in the areas my professional experience actually covers. Each service below links to the systems that demonstrate it.

What I offer

  • AI and RAG Systems

An assistant that answers questions from your own documents and shows where each answer came from.

Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems built around your content rather than a general-purpose model: document assistants, organisational chatbots and knowledge-base search, with source citations, multilingual retrieval and the option to run entirely on your own infrastructure.

    Typical deliverables

    • Document assistant or organisational chatbot
    • Retrieval pipeline with source citations
    • Content ingestion, cleaning and chunking
    • Administration or monitoring interface
    • Deployment notes and technical documentation

    Technologies

    • Python
    • RAG pipelines
    • Local LLMs
    • Ollama
    • Embeddings
    • Vector retrieval
    • Qdrant

  • Backend and API Development

The part of your system that holds the data, enforces the rules and talks to everything else.

REST APIs, databases and application logic, with the surrounding concerns handled properly: validation, authentication-related workflows, caching, session handling, integrations, and the logging and health checks needed to operate the result.

    Typical deliverables

    • REST API with documented endpoints
    • Database schema and data access layer
    • Validation, caching and session handling
    • Health-check endpoint and structured logging
    • Integration with existing systems

  • Dashboard and Portal Development

Internal tools for the people who use your system every day — reviewing, approving and reporting.

Administrative dashboards, reporting systems, application portals and review workflows. Built around the reviewer as much as the applicant, because friction in a tool used a hundred times a week costs far more than friction in one used once.

    Typical deliverables

    • Application or submission portal
    • Internal review workflow with status management
    • Configurable reporting dashboard
    • Monitoring and administration views
    • Role-appropriate interfaces for each audience

    • Responsive interfaces

  • Full-Stack Web Development

A complete web application — the interface people use and the system behind it.

Web applications built end to end: a responsive frontend, a maintainable backend, and the data model connecting them. Built to be handed over and changed later rather than to be impressive once.

    Typical deliverables

    • Responsive frontend interface
    • Backend application logic and data model
    • Forms, validation and error handling
    • Deployment and configuration guidance
    • Technical documentation

  • Local AI Integration

AI features that run on your own hardware, so your content never leaves your infrastructure.

Integrating Ollama and locally hosted models into translation systems, content workflows and knowledge applications — including the parts that make local models practical: prompt design, chunking pipelines, job management and rate limiting against finite capacity.

    Typical deliverables

    • Reusable model client service
    • Content chunking and recombination pipeline
    • Job platform with tracking for long-running work
    • Configuration and rate-limiting controls
    • Testing and technical documentation

  • Business Website Development

A modern, fast website for your company that works properly on a phone.

Responsive websites for companies, service providers, industrial businesses and professional brands — new builds, rebuilds and modernisation of sites that have aged badly.

    Typical deliverables

    • Responsive multi-page website
    • Content structure and page templates
    • Contact and enquiry handling
    • Accessibility and performance pass
    • Handover documentation

Working together

How I work with clients

Four steps, kept deliberately plain. Most project problems are decided in the first two.

  1. 01

    Understand

Work out what the system actually needs to do, and what it does not. Most scope problems are decided here.

  2. 02

    Scope

Agree the boundaries in writing — what is included, what is deferred, and what the finished thing looks like.

  3. 03

    Build in increments

Ship in reviewable pieces rather than one reveal at the end, so direction can change while changing it is still cheap.

  4. 04

    Hand over

Deliver with documentation and deployment notes, so the system can be maintained by someone who is not me.

I work remotely, in English or Arabic. I do not publish rates — the scope of the work decides them, so tell me what you need and I will give you a straight answer on whether I am the right person for it.
